Established in 2025, the Ker Paw Taw Lu Eye Clinic is the Foundation's permanent eye care centre, providing year-round, comprehensive ophthalmic services for patients throughout Karen State.
The clinic serves as both a referral centre for patients identified during Mobile Eye Missions and a dedicated facility where individuals can receive specialised diagnosis, surgical treatment, follow-up care, and long-term management of eye diseases.
Beyond patient care, the clinic supports community eye health, strengthens local healthcare capacity, and provides a sustainable foundation for quality eye care services in Karen State.
Clinical Services

The Ker Paw Taw Lu Eye Clinic provides comprehensive ophthalmic care, including:
- Comprehensive eye examinations and specialist consultations
- Cataract surgery and other ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Glaucoma diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management
- Medical and surgical management of eye diseases and ocular trauma
- Refraction, optical services, and spectacle dispensing
- Diagnostic investigations and postoperative follow-up care
- Patient counselling, rehabilitation, and referral for specialised care when required
Together with the Mobile Eye Mission, the Ker Paw Taw Lu Eye Clinic ensures that Karen communities have access to both outreach services and continuous, high-quality eye care throughout the year.
